Customers, investors, lenders, procurement teams and regulators increasingly expect businesses to understand, disclose and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. auverde helps you calculate, organise and report carbon emissions in a practical, transparent and decision-useful way.
Carbon emissions reporting, also called greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting or carbon accounting, is the process of measuring and disclosing the greenhouse gas emissions produced directly and indirectly by a business. A complete emissions inventory covers Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, prepared in line with a recognised methodology such as the GHG Protocol.
A well-prepared carbon account does more than satisfy a compliance requirement. It tells you where your emissions come from, which activities or suppliers are driving them, and where the most practical opportunities for reduction sit.
Emissions from sources your business owns or controls — fuel combustion, company vehicles, on-site processes.
Indirect emissions from electricity, heat or steam your business buys and uses. Reported on both a market-based and location-based basis.
All other indirect emissions in your upstream and downstream value chain — suppliers, business travel, logistics, product use and end-of-life.
We support businesses at every stage of carbon reporting — from first inventory to annual disclosure and ongoing improvement.
Greenhouse gas inventories prepared in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
We identify what data you need, review its quality, and document the assumptions and emission factors used.
We pinpoint where emissions are concentrated across operations and supply chains so you can prioritise action.
Scope 3 data collection and supplier engagement to build a complete picture of value chain emissions.
Documentation prepared for ESG reports, AASB S2, ASRS-aligned disclosure, and investor or lender requests.
Reduction opportunity mapping and transition planning aligned with recognised frameworks.
auverde prepares emissions inventories and disclosure documentation with reference to internationally recognised reporting frameworks:
In Australia, mandatory climate-related financial disclosures are now required under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), aligned with AASB S2 and IFRS S2. We help businesses understand what is required, what data they need, and how to build reporting that improves over time.
Mandatory disclosure requirements are expanding in Australia. Large businesses are now subject to climate-related financial disclosure obligations under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), phasing in from 2025. Many mid-sized businesses face disclosure expectations from customers, lenders, investors and procurement teams even before mandatory requirements apply to them.
The GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard is the most widely used international framework for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. It defines the three scopes of emissions, sets out methodological requirements, and provides the basis for most national and international disclosure standards.
Scope 1 covers direct emissions from sources a business owns or controls. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from purchased energy. Scope 3 covers all other indirect emissions across the value chain, including upstream suppliers and downstream product use. For most businesses, Scope 3 represents the largest share of total emissions.
Timelines depend on the complexity of a business's operations, the availability of activity data, and the scope of reporting required. A first inventory for a single-site business with straightforward operations typically takes four to eight weeks. More complex organisations with multiple sites or significant Scope 3 categories take longer.
The data required depends on which emission sources are within scope. Common inputs include energy bills, fuel purchase records, fleet information, and business travel data. We help you identify what data is needed, assess its quality, and work with what is available while being transparent about any gaps or estimates.
